Love Your Law Firm: A Roadmap to the Law Firm You Always Wanted
āSmart, witty, and insightful are just a few words that describe my friend Jordan Ostroff's new book, "Love Your Law Firm." This book is chock-full of great ideas and even "Pro Tips" to help lawyers live their best lives. The best part is that you really get to know Jordan as a person while learning from his writing. Well done my friend!ā ~Steve Fretzin, Four-Time Author, Podcast Host of BE THAT LAWYER and Legal Business Development Coach for Lawyers.
"It took me a long time to learn to love my life as a lawyer. When I saw Jordan was writing a book called āLove Your Law Firmā, I wondered how it would compare to my Love Your Law Practice (trademark pending) program and teachings. Iām thrilled to report complete alignment, and will include Jordanās book in our recommended readings for our students, and I wholeheartedly recommend you not just add it to your reading list, but actually read it." ~ Ali Katz, Founder/CEO of New Law Business Model & Personal Family LawyerĀ®.
āWhen youāve been in the attorney 'practice improvement' space for 20 years, you quickly learn who's the real-deal, versus another lawyer that couldnāt hack it so they try to tell you how to do it. I can tell you, Jordan is the real deal. Heās been in the trenches and been successful, and his advice is rooted in the idea that 'more isnāt always better'. This book not only gives you a roadmap to having a great practice, but also puts you on the path to cultivating a great life. A fantastic, and practical, guide.ā - Victor J. Medina, Practice Advisor Coach, Atticus Coaching & Practicing Attorney.
From the Author:
I always knew I wanted to be a lawyer. There are literally home videos of me at 3 or 4 arguing with my parents.
I grew up in South Florida and graduated from The University of Central Florida (GoKnights!) and stayed in Orlando for Law School. My first āreal law jobā was for the State of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney. I, along with my better half (my words ā but everyone else agrees) and fellow attorney, Heather Trick Ostroff, opened Driven Law (a PI law firm located in Orlando, Florida) in 2015.
After losing a substantial amount of money on marketing agencies that didnāt understand how to market a law firm properly, I spent time with some of the best marketing minds in the industry and soaked up every bit of knowledge I could. Then, I put what I learned into practice and brought a lot of the marketing efforts in-house to the firm. Today, I have no student loans, and my firm is a successful, multi-million dollar firm. All with me working only 3 days a week.
This book is about my mistakes and the systems I learned and implemented to change things. Running a law firm should not mean not having a life.
